From Team Aashray to Aashray Foundation
In 2012, 10-year-old Shane Bakshi noticed a child outside his school, longing to be inside. After weeks of curiosity, Shane approached the child and learned that he had to beg for survival while his parents worked low-paying jobs.
Shane was deeply moved, realizing many children were missing out on education because they couldn’t afford it. He knew these children had no one to advocate for them.
With his mother’s help, who ran a vocational training NGO, Shane expanded their work to include education for underprivileged children.
Over the past decade, Aashray has grown into a leading NGO, dedicated to providing quality education and opportunities for all children in need.
